The Flow of the Spirit- Part 4: Clearing the Blockages

Prophetic Vision

Recently, God confirmed a word to me that deeply resonated with this season of renewal. 

I read a vision from another that told of a large pipe clogged by a snake obstructing the flow of water—a representation of the flow of the Holy Spirit. Those of us around the pipe shook it violently, and nothing happened for what felt like an eternity. Finally, the snake began to loosen, and as it was forced out, the Lord crushed it into pieces.

This vision carries a profound message for the church today. Many of us, individually and collectively, have allowed blockages to hinder the free flow of God’s Spirit. These blockages could be complacency, fear, sin (such as dishonesty, envy, or greed), or even a reliance on our own strength and understanding. Over time, they build up, obstructing the power and presence of God in our lives.

God is urgently calling His people to confront these blockages, to no longer tolerate what is hindering His Spirit from flowing freely. He’s vigorously shaking His church—our lives, our habits, our hearts—to remove what doesn’t belong. Though the process may feel uncomfortable, it’s necessary. Renewal cannot happen without a cleansing.

The clogged pipe in the vision symbolizes areas where we’ve resisted God’s leading or settled for less than His best. Whether it’s an unforgiven offense, hidden sin, or spiritual apathy, these blockages need to be dealt with. God desires to pour out His Spirit in a fresh and powerful way, and we, as His partners, have the responsibility and power to remove every barrier.

The shaking may feel unsettling, but it’s meant to bring freedom. Once the blockages are removed, the flow of His Spirit will bring life, refreshment, and power like never before.

Ask God to reveal areas in your life that need to be cleared so His Spirit can move unhindered. The enemy’s schemes have no place in the lives of God’s people—it’s time to reclaim what’s been stolen.
