ABOUT PROVEN RESULTS

The Story Behind Proven Results...

Let’s start with a simple question - how are things working for you?

Perhaps your answer is positive. Maybe you feel good about where you are and where you’re going. If so, that’s great. I’m happy for you.

At the same time, I know that life is rarely (if ever) this simple. Chances are you feel unsatisfied or discontent with certain areas of your life. I’ve been in ministry for 37 years, and I’ve seen many people in this position. As Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven.” (NKJV)

Perhaps you’re hurting. Struggling. Feeling incapable of moving forward. Unsure of how to find your way. These are heavy burdens to carry, but hope remains.

It doesn’t have to be this way. God created you for something better.

What I’m about to share with you isn’t easy. It’s a process that you’ll have to be committed to, even on days when it isn’t easy. However, I believe it’s the road map to a better life. I’ve seen it work for hundreds (if not thousands) of people in the past, and you could be next.

The tipping point happened when I suffered abuse from a family member. I don’t recall much about this time - or most other memories from my childhood before I turned 12 years old. Perhaps it’s better this way.

What I do remember is that I felt broken. I couldn’t comprehend any sort of future. That is, until I was saved by grace through faith in Jesus. For the first time in my life, I felt loved and accepted. As a 12-year-old boy – even after all that I had gone through – I felt a call to preach God’s word. I’m still amazed that God would choose to take someone like me and use me for his glory.

Paul writes in Galatians 2:20, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.” He also writes in Philippians 4 that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Phil. 4:13). These teachings are incredibly freeing and exciting for me. When I come to the end of my own ability or capability, I can rely on the power and presence of Jesus in my life.

I’ll never forget the powerful reality that hit me one day as I was reading John 15. On the night before he goes to the cross, Jesus calls his disciples to abide in Him. He tells them that as a branch can’t bear fruit on its own, they cannot do anything apart from the Father.

This teaching literally changed my life. It set me free from all the pain and brokenness I experienced earlier in life. I had already seen what life was like without God’s presence, and I knew that I couldn’t do anything apart from him. But what was truly exciting was imagining what was possible in my life if I remained connected to the Vine.

This is why I am so passionate about helping individuals discover the ABIDE Factor for their life.
