Key Scripture: Judges 15:15
After breaking free, Samson didn’t reach for a mighty weapon—he grabbed the jawbone of a donkey. This seemingly insignificant tool, in the hands of God, became a powerful instrument of victory. Imagine that for a moment. A jawbone? It’s not exactly the tool you’d expect to turn the tide of battle, yet that’s what God used. With that jawbone, Samson defeated a thousand men.
This story reminds me that God often uses the unexpected to accomplish His purposes. Too many of us overlook the tools God has placed in our hands because they don’t seem impressive. You may feel like your gifts or resources aren’t enough. The truth is, it’s not about the tool—it’s about the God who empowers it.
Never underestimate what God can do through the seemingly insignificant. If you’re willing to trust Him, even the smallest, most unlikely things can lead to great victories.
Next week, we’ll explore how to let go of the past, including past failures, hurts, and disappointments, and embrace the new things God is doing in your life. It’s time to step into the new!
Reflection Question: What has God placed in your hands that you’ve been overlooking? How can you trust Him to use it for His glory?
